Material Damage and Business Interuption
When an HGV skidded on the approach road to a service station on the A3, the damage was severe enough to shut the business down.
Not only did the collision damage the pumps and the frame to the forecourt, the structure of the brick build kiosk was jeopardised and required to be rebuilt.
The business was an independent garage and there were issues with under insurance.
Fortunately the owner had a Lorega Loss Recovery Insurance policy. The broker notified Lorega and the Chartered Loss Adjuster, appointed to act on behalf of the policyholder, was able to agree the extent of the claim, covering both the material damage and the business interruption.
Both the owner of the petrol station and his broker were delighted with Lorega’s performance, in achieving a fair settlement in a difficult set of circumstances.
The broker now recommends Lorega cover to all of his clients.
